WiCRC Code of Conduct
Welcome to Women in Credit Risk & Collections (WiCRC)! Our community is built on the principles of respect, support, and collaboration. To ensure a positive and productive environment for all members, we ask that everyone adheres to the following Code of Conduct:
1. Respectful Communication
- Be Kind and Considerate: Treat all members with respect, kindness, and consideration. Disparaging remarks, personal attacks, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
- Listen Actively: Engage in conversations with an open mind, listen to others’ perspectives, and contribute thoughtfully.
2. Inclusivity
- Support Diversity: WiCRC is committed to creating an inclusive environment. We celebrate diversity in gender identity, experience, and background. Discrimination or exclusion based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other characteristic is strictly prohibited.
- Respect Pronouns and Identities: If a member chooses to use specific pronouns, please use them correctly and respect each member's self-identified gender. This is a space where all identities are valid and respected. Note: If you identify as male, this is not the right group for you.
3. Professional Integrity
- Uphold Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared within the community. Do not share another member's personal or professional details without their explicit consent.
- Avoid Conflicts of Interest: If you have a personal or business interest that could affect your judgment or objectivity within the community, please disclose it and act transparently.
- Maintain Ethical Standards: As members may work for competing banks or providers, it is essential to ensure that all conversations and interactions within WiCRC are above reproach, fully compliant with regulations and laws, and do not violate anti-collusion policies. We expect all members to act with the highest level of integrity, avoiding any discussions or behaviors that could be perceived as collusive or anti-competitive.
4. Constructive Engagement
- Provide Constructive Feedback: When giving feedback, focus on being helpful and solution-oriented. Avoid negative or destructive criticism.
- Participate Actively: Engage with the community by sharing insights, asking questions, and offering support. Your active participation helps us all grow.
5. Ethical Behavior
- No Drama Allowed: We have a zero-tolerance policy for creating unnecessary conflict or drama. Members should strive to resolve disagreements amicably and respectfully.
- Report Inappropriate Behavior: If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, report it to the WiCRC leadership team. We are committed to addressing issues promptly and fairly.
6. Membership Integrity
- Meet Eligibility Criteria: Membership is reserved for those who identify as female or non-binary and work within Credit Risk, Risk, Collections, Analytics, or Data/Tech in Australia or New Zealand. Membership may be validated through LinkedIn or an email introduction.
- Contribute Positively: Use the community for its intended purpose—sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and advancing our collective goals.
7. Consequences of Violations
- Policy Enforcement: Any member found in violation of this Code of Conduct may face consequences, including warnings, suspension, or termination of membership, depending on the severity of the violation."
